Biography, Jason Love

Jason Love writes a weekly humor column, “So It Goes,” for The Ventura County Star and the Scripps Howard News Service (pending). He also ventures into the field to produce video columns for the newspaper website.

Jason syndicates his column to dozens of print publications and to more than 150 websites via RSS and JavaScript.

Along with his column, Jason produces a popular daily cartoon called “Snapshots,” which you can find online at The St. Petersburg Times, The Denver Post, The Arizona Republic, The Journal News, Newspapers.com, and at 250 other websites.

Jason’s own website receives 42,000 unique visitors per day, a number that has doubled in each of the past two years.

In 2006 “So It Goes,” the column, won an award from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists—second place to W. Bruce Cameron, best-selling author of “Eight Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter.”

Jason Love majored in English at UC Santa Cruz, spent his twenties performing standup comedy, and now lives in Port Hueneme, California, where he has been writing full-time for 10 years. His mother still asks him when he is going to get a job.

Testimonials
Nancy Dusek
Sunday's column on feng shui by Jason Love made me laugh over and over! It was right on track. I want you to know that I haven't laughed out loud like that since Dave Barry's columns were in The Star. Please give us more of Love's humor.
